Yemeni journalist, Adnan Al-Jabrani, said that the Houthi coup militia’s recognition of the killing of 15,000 of its fighters in the Ma’rib battles within five months represents a crushing moral and military defeat for the militias.
Al-Jabrani, who is on the battlefield in Marib, added that the recognition represents a moral and military defeat for the Al-Kuthy militia; Morally, because it drives simple people and children to inevitable incinerators, without regard for their humanity and what awaits them.
He continued, “As for militarily, what the Houthis think of as an achievement in geography as a price, the army may recover it in a few days and with minimal losses.”
The Houthi coup militia has acknowledged the killing of nearly fifteen thousand of its fighters during the last months in the battles taking place in the Ma’rib Governorate.
Agence France-Presse quoted “two Houthi defense officials” as saying that “about 14,700 (Houthi) rebels have been killed in the Ma’rib region battles since June.”
For the second year in a row, the Houthi militia is engaged in battles with government forces in an attempt to control the strategic city of Ma’rib, and the militia has suffered heavy losses in lives.
