The recent military battles in the Abdiya district of Marib (east of the country) witnessed a major Houthi setback, which frustrated the militia’s hopes of entering the steadfast district three weeks ago.
A military source in the National Army confirmed the failure of the largest Houthi attack planned by the militia to enter the district from several axes, after its siege for three weeks.
The source added that the forces of the National Army, backed by the popular resistance and tribes from the sons of Abdiya, broke up, at dawn on Monday, the attacks of the terrorist Houthi militia in several axes, and inflicted heavy losses on them in lives and equipment.
The source pointed out that the failure of the Houthi attack caused a major setback in the ranks and fronts of the Houthi militia, which was counting on the night attack to bring down the Directorate, according to him.
Yesterday evening, the terrorist Houthi militia launched a large-scale attack from several axes to bring down the Abdiya district, south of Marib.
Field and military sources confirmed earlier the death and injury of dozens of members of the National Army and the Popular Resistance, and other numbers and doubled in the ranks of the Houthi militia.
