An American classification by Can Traveler magazine put three Arab airports in the list of the best airports in the world.
According to what the magazine published on its website, Hamad International Airport, Dubai Airport, and Al-Manara Airport in Marrakesh, Kingdom of Morocco, ranked fifth, sixth and seventh, respectively.
The magazine said that its classification is based on an opinion poll conducted by about 800,000 of its readers, who travel through different airports in the world, where points are collected for each airport and the results are calculated based on them.
Regarding Hamad International Airport, which ranked fifth, the magazine said: It looks more like a hotel…a resort than a bustling transportation hub, with amenities that include a fitness center, squash courts and an indoor pool.
And she pointed out that it has been placed in an advanced center for its many distinguished amenities, with a wide range of lounges, in addition to quiet rooms and entertainment areas for children and passengers in any flight class.
The magazine praised Menara Airport in Marrakesh, Morocco, which was ranked seventh in the world, stressing that it is a gateway to one of the most popular tourist destinations in North Africa.
The magazine pointed out that Al-Manara Airport in Marrakech is a worthy introduction to Morocco; Pointing out that it also won with enthusiasm from readers’ publications and votes, for its “amazing” design, as one reader said, while another described it by saying: “The moment you land, you know you have been transported to North Africa.. The airport is a direct reflection of the culture.”
It is noteworthy that the magazine placed Changi Airport in Singapore in the first place, while Istanbul International Airport ranked second, followed by Tokyo Narita Airport in third, and in fourth place came Seoul Incheon International Airport, and then, respectively, Athens, Heathrow and Zurich airports eighth, ninth and tenth.
