A picture of the head of the Taliban’s Promotion of Virtue Movement for “CNN Reporter” raises controversy

CNN reporter Clarissa Ward published a photo of her interview with the head of the Taliban Movement’s Committee for Good and Prevention of Vice, saying that it was “a thousand words.”

This came in a tweet to “Ward” on its official page, in which she said: “A picture is worth a thousand words… There is no need to enlarge the picture to see how the head of the Ministry of Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice in the Taliban in Ghazni feels about sitting with me. Our story is here.

It is noteworthy that the “Taliban” movement when it was in power between 1996 and 2001, prevented girls and women from education and work, but in 2001 after the overthrow of the movement, women and girls were able to return to work and enroll in schools and universities.
