A prominent leader of the Islah Party commented on the announcement of the Political Bureau of the National Resistance, led by Saleh’s nephew, and addressed an important request to Brigadier General Tariq Saleh.
The reformist leader, Olfat al-Daba’i, a member of the Constitution Drafting Committee, said that “Tareq Saleh’s announcement, through his political office in the coast, that he is ready for joint coordination for real political partnerships in the north and south in the face of the coup project is a great positive development for the political office project.”
She added: “But without Tariq Saleh explicitly declaring that the reference for the outcomes of the national dialogue and the federal state project is the political and constitutional reference guarantor of the success of this coordination and the guarantor of the national partnership, there will be a major defect and a missing link in these efforts, especially in Taiz, which needs a process of building political confidence. Greatness and unification of efforts make Taiz bearer of this project in the face of those who turned against it.”
This came after Tariq Saleh announced his desire to partner with the national forces in the face of the Houthi militia, and the start of the work of the Political Bureau of the National Resistance.
