A senior leader in the Southern Movement survived an assassination attempt


Local sources from Lahj governorate revealed that the leader of the Southern Movement and advisor to the Minister of Interior, Bajash Al-Aghbari Al-Subaihi, survived an assassination attempt, after his car was detonated by an explosive device in Lahj governorate.

The sources said that al-Aghbari’s car exploded through a device planted in the car, which exploded while it was passing on the Al-Sabiha road; Al-Aghbari was not injured in the accident, who left the car before it caught fire.

It is worth noting that Al-Aghbari is one of the political and military leaders affiliated with the Yemeni government. Al-Aghbari was previously subjected to a number of assassination attempts, the last of which was after the liberation of Aden Governorate from the Houthis in 2015.

Al-Aghbari is considered one of the fighters against the Israeli occupation and was injured while carrying out a commando operation in the eighties of the last century.
