A high school student died of his injuries sustained during a quarrel with his classmate due to a struggle between them over the priority of getting and sitting in the front row seat in their classroom, in Egypt.
Student Mohamed Eid Helmy Shehata breathed his last on Wednesday, as a result of his injuries sustained during a quarrel with his colleague over the priority of sitting on a front row seat at their agricultural secondary school in Mit Alwan, Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate, northern Egypt.
The incident happened last Sunday and on the first day of the new school year, when the security services received a notification that the student Eid Muhammad had arrived at Kafr El-Sheikh Hospital in a complete coma, where he was beaten by his colleague.
Major General Gamal Nour El-Din, Governor of Kafr El-Sheikh, decided to penalize 3 teachers and the school representative, with a deduction and suspension for fifteen days, and refer them to investigation on charges of neglecting the requirements of their job duties.
The governor decided to suspend both the director of the school complex to which the school belongs and a mathematics teacher from work pending an investigation of what was attributed to them, while the Kafr El-Sheikh Prosecution took over the investigations.
