The “Yemeni Scene” provides you with a summary of the most important events on the Yemeni scene during the past 24 hours:
Politically, the President of the Republic of Yemen, Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi, expressed, on Wednesday, his despair of bringing peace to Yemen after his death at the hands of the Houthi rebels.
Hadi said in a speech he addressed to the Yemeni people at home and abroad on the occasion of the 58th anniversary of the glorious October 14 revolution, which was followed by the “Yemeni Scene”, that “peace is being killed in Yemen by the Houthi militia and behind it the unlimited Iranian support, which the whole world stands before it without movement.”
He pointed out that “peace efforts are turning day after day in the minds of the Yemeni people into intangible efforts and statements that do not stop terrorism, do not prevent more killing and destruction, and only achieve recklessness and tampering by that militia.”
He pointed out that “the continuation of these militias with killing, attack, siege, violence and terrorism clearly defines their position on peace, the efforts of the United Nations and the initiatives proposed for peace.”
In addition, the President of the Southern Transitional Council, Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, directed today, Wednesday, the military forces of the Council to prepare for what he called “the liberation of the remaining lands of the south.”
This came during a speech on the occasion of the anniversary of the October 14 revolution, during which Al-Zubaidi urged all citizens of the southern Yemeni governorates to move on the path of secession, return to before 94, and support the military forces of the Council in that.
Al-Zubaidi stressed that the Southern Transitional Council is the component authorized to carry the southern issue in the negotiations of the comprehensive political process.
He also stressed the pursuit of secession and “restoring and building the state of the south,” adding, “It is a covenant we made, and we will not back down or falter.”
He added, “Today we are living in the throes of a liberation revolution to restore and build the independent state of the south, which derives the spirit of struggle and resistance from the determination of the October 14 revolutionaries.”
Al-Zubaidi described the rule of the Republic of Yemen during the past decades as “the occupation of the south on July 7, 1994 AD by force of arms and placing it under a destructive military occupation of the south, land and people, usurped sovereignty, looted wealth, and an identity to be obliterated.”
In another context, Major General Sultan Al-Arada said that the battles between the forces of the National Army and the popular resistance and the Houthi coup militia, on the outskirts of Marib, since 2015 AD, will never stop, and move from one area to another.
The statement of the governor of Ma’rib governorate came after the Houthi coup militia claimed to advance and take control of the Juba district.
Major General Al-Arada said in a television statement, this evening, Thursday, that the battles are now taking place in Al-Jawf Governorate, on the outskirts of Sanaa, Al-Bayda, and the southern districts of Marib.
He pointed out that the Houthi coup militia has been targeting with ballistic missiles populated villages in all the cities of Marib, especially the Abdiya district, which has been besieged for weeks by the militias.
Major General Sultan Al-Arada said that the Houthi militia refused the intervention of human rights and humanitarian organizations to rescue the besieged civilians in the Abdiya district, and appealed to the international community and the humanitarian conscience to intervene urgently to save civilians.
Major General Sultan Al-Arada confirmed that the government forces and the tribesmen in Ma’rib Governorate will continue to confront the Houthi coup militia until all Yemeni lands are restored.
On the field, the Houthi coup militia was subjected to a horrific massacre yesterday in Al-Juba in Marib, where a number of leaders of the Houthi campaign were killed, accompanied by dozens of elements, at the hands of the army and resistance forces, hours after they infiltrated into populated areas in the village of Wasit.
The sources confirmed that the leaders of the Houthi campaign, Amin al-Sharif and Khaled al-Jubouri, were killed along with dozens of elements in the first hours of entering those areas.
In addition, the Houthi leader, who assumed the rank of Colonel “Mohammed Abdullah Al-Junaid”, was captured by the National Army forces on the southern Ma’rib front.
On the other hand, the heroes of the Yemeni army and the tribes, backed by the fighters of the Arab coalition in support of legitimacy, succeeded in thwarting the efforts of the Houthi rebels to control the governorates of Shabwa and Marib with two decisive operations.
Field sources told “The Yemeni Scene” that the army and tribes in the recent Bayhan Harib operation thwarted the efforts and goals of the Houthi militia, and behind it Iran to reach the sources of gas and oil in Shabwa and Marib, Jannah Hunt and Balhaf, and then Safer.
The sources confirmed that the heroes of the army and tribes in Bayhan Shabwa succeeded in thwarting the first goal, while the Ma`la and Murad mountains south of Marib succeeded in defeating the Houthi militia and thwarting its second goal.
This comes after the success of the lure and detour operations, which prompted the Houthi militia to flee from the Wasit area in the Juba district, abandoning their weapons and inflicting dozens of deaths and injuries and more than a hundred prisoners in their ranks.
