A tropical depression accompanied by thunderstorms hits all Yemeni governorates


Meteorological centers warned of the entry of a tropical depression into the Arabian Sea, accompanied by thunderstorms, and it is expected to hit all Yemeni governorates.

The weather forecast and early warning unit in Hadhramaut governorate indicated that the depression will reach during the period between two days; Today, Tuesday, until Thursday, to Hadhramaut Governorate and Yemen in general, and it may be accompanied by the flow of some scattered cumulus clouds.

In her report on the developments of the tropical situation in the Arabian Sea, she indicated that a tropical depression accompanied by maximum winds is expected to move during the middle of this week towards the north to northwest of the Arabian Sea, with its center approaching the Socotra Archipelago, the Horn of Africa and parts of the Gulf of Aden.

The astronomer, Adnan Al-Shawafi, had expected that “a low pressure area in the middle of the Arabian Sea will move to the west and southwest during the next 72 hours, starting today, Tuesday.”

Al-Shawafi pointed out the possibility of “affecting the Yemeni archipelago of Socotra with thunderstorms of varying intensity, which may reach heavy rain in some areas of the archipelago, which calls for caution against thunderstorms and the flow of torrential rains in the islands of the archipelago, as well as fishermen and sea-goers west of the Arabian Sea and east of the Gulf of Aden.” From bad weather and turbulence.

He pointed to a slight decrease in temperatures on the highlands and mountain basins. And he called for caution from cold weather, especially workers at night and in the early morning.

He pointed out that for farmers in cold regions, the air temperature remains a few degrees above zero Celsius; And the occurrence of the effect in such mild cases remains linked to the availability of other auxiliary factors.

He continued: If there is no cloud cover and winds remain in your area, it is preferable to exercise caution, especially on some of the less resistant and close to the ground plantations.
