A widespread attack on the central bank in Marib, the day after the “transitional” called on “revenues”

Today, Monday, a Yemeni government official and dozens of activists launched a massive attack on the branch of the Central Bank of Yemen in Marib Governorate, a day after the Southern Transitional Council called on the recognized government to compel all governorates to supply revenues to the Central Bank in Aden.

A member of the Shura Council, Rageh Bakrit, said in a tweet on his account on the micro-blogging site “Twitter”, which was monitored by “The Yemeni Scene”, that “the branch of the Central Bank in Marib completely separated its system from the Central Bank before the start of the Decisive Storm and established its own system and refused Connecting the Ma’rib branch to the main center to this day.”

He pointed out that the Prime Minister “Mueen Abdul-Malik is aware of this and cannot do anything because the bank is linked to the Brotherhood and not to the state…”; as he put it.

This comes in conjunction with the launch of dozens of activists of a campaign denouncing the Central Bank of Aden’s disbursement of 40 billion Yemeni army salaries in Marib, in conjunction with the STC’s call for the government regarding revenues.
