Today, Monday, a Yemeni astronomer issued an urgent warning of an air depression, heavy rain and low temperatures in the coming days.
And the astronomer Adnan Al-Shawafi explained, in a statement that he was briefed by “The Yemeni Scene”, that “a low pressure area in the middle of the Arabian Sea is moving to the west and southwest during the next 72 hours, starting from tomorrow, Tuesday.”
Al-Shawafi expected that “it will affect the Yemeni archipelago of Socotra with thunderstorms of varying intensity, which may reach heavy rain in some areas of the archipelago, which calls for caution against thunderstorms and the flow of torrential rains in the islands of the archipelago, as well as fishermen and sea-goers west of the Arabian Sea and east of the Gulf of Aden from bad weather.” Weather conditions and wave turbulence.
He pointed to a slight decrease in temperatures on the highlands and mountain basins. And he called for caution from cold weather, especially workers at night and in the early morning.
He pointed out that for farmers in cold regions, the air temperature remains a few degrees above zero Celsius; And the occurrence of the effect in such mild cases remains linked to the availability of other auxiliary factors.
He continued: If there is no cloud cover and winds remain in your area, it is preferable to exercise caution, especially on some of the less resistant and close to the ground plantations.
This comes in conjunction with the Yemeni National Center of Meteorology alerting fishermen, sea-goers and ship captains of bad weather conditions in the Socotra archipelago during the next 24 hours.
In its weather bulletin, the center expected the spread of dense to very dense clouds, interspersed with rainy thunderstorms, in the Socotra archipelago, especially in the east and south of the archipelago.
He pointed out that rain of varying intensity is likely, some of which may be heavy, accompanied by strong winds and sea turbulence.
He warned fishermen, sea-goers, and captains of ships of all kinds against bad weather and the accompanying rain, strong winds, sea turbulence, and high waves, which may reach more than three and a half metres.
