Abu Bakr Al-Qirbi expects a new wave of conflict in Yemen .. after Saudi talk about an “initiative” to end the war

The former foreign minister, Abu Bakr al-Qirbi, expected a new wave of conflict in Yemen, if initiatives for a political solution were imposed, based on quotas.

Al-Qirbi said: “If the initiatives for a political solution to the war are built on the interests and quotas of the parties to the conflict in power and ignore the will of the Yemeni people, they will be temporary solutions that do not end the crisis.”

He pointed out that the reason for this is “because Yemen needs to end the roots of the conflict and not just temporary solutions that ignore the constitution and the consensus that defined the framework of the comprehensive solution for building the new Yemen.”

This comes after statements by the Saudi ambassador to Yemen, Muhammad Al Jaber, in which he stressed that the Saudi initiative represents an opportunity to achieve a comprehensive political solution to the Yemeni crisis… Noting that the Saudi initiative is still in place, and that the continued bleeding of Yemeni blood and the poor humanitarian situation in Yemen is due to ” The Houthis rejected peace and their intransigence.
