The United Arab Emirates issued a strongly worded statement regarding Yemen, after the Arab coalition announced the implementation of three military operations, targeting Houthi hideouts, to assembling and launching booby-trapped drones and boats.
In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the attempts of the terrorist Houthi militia to target Abha International Airport in Saudi Arabia through a booby-trapped drone, which was intercepted by the coalition forces.
The UAE considered that targeting the airport is a dangerous escalation and a cowardly act that threatens the security, safety and lives of civilians and travelers, and is a war crime that requires taking all necessary measures to protect civilian objects from the threats of the Houthis.
The statement reiterated the UAE’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia over these terrorist attacks, standing with it against every threat to its security and stability, and supporting it in all the measures it takes to preserve its security and the safety of its citizens and residents.
The statement stressed that the security of the UAE and the security of Saudi Arabia are indivisible, and that any threat or danger facing the Kingdom is considered by the state as a threat to its security and stability system.
In the early hours of today, Wednesday, the Arab Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen announced the targeting of three Houthi hideouts to assemble and booby-trap naval boats in Hodeidah, and drones in Al-Jawf and Saada.
