After Saudi Arabia announced the severance of relations with Lebanon, the artist Elissa sent an invitation to George Kordahi regarding the Houthis

On Friday evening, the Lebanese actress, Elissa, launched a scathing attack on the Lebanese Minister of Information, George Kordahi, because of his recent statements about the Yemeni crisis and the resulting severing of relations between Saudi Arabia and Lebanon.

On her Twitter page, the artist demanded, George Kordahi, to go to the Houthi militia or the government of Bashar al-Assad, and to leave Lebanon, and also held Qardahi responsible for the recent developments triggered by his positions.

Elissa considered Qardahi’s statements not to represent Lebanon, its politics, affiliation, or line, and called him to leave the country and go to those who support them, in reference to the Houthi militia and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

She wrote: “George Qardahi puts your responsibility on the shoulders of a whole country behind statements that do not represent Lebanon’s policy, step, or affiliation. Do you love Assad and the Houthis? Go to Aden and leave Lebanon as you, your government, and your axis are.”

This came after Saudi Arabia announced that it had summoned the ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Lebanese Republic for consultations, and the departure of the Lebanese ambassador to the Kingdom within the next 48 hours.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the insulting statements to the Kingdom issued by the Lebanese Minister of Information represent a new cycle of reprehensible and rejected positions issued by Lebanese officials towards the Kingdom and its policies, in addition to the slanderous statements and the reversal and falsification of facts.
