Dr. Abu Bakr al-Qirbi, the former Yemeni foreign minister, said today, Saturday, that talking about reconciliation and peace is considered treason in the eyes of some political forces. In a hint to those who criticize him.
And he explained in a tweet on his account on the micro-blogging site “Twitter”, which was monitored by “The Yemeni Scene”, by saying: “When talking about reconciliation and peace is considered treason in the eyes of some political forces, it means an imbalance of values.”
He added: “It reflects its desire to exclude and eradicate the opponent, and that the conflict is in fact just a power struggle, not to build a state and a homeland that achieves justice and equality for its children.”
This comes days after he praised the statement of the Legal Advisory Group, which said that it “has sounded the alarm about the dangers of currency collapse and non-payment of salaries on the livelihood of citizens and on the stability of Yemen and the threat it could lead to international peace and security.”
He considered it unfortunate that no one had given him the attention he deserved, because he touches red lines that the sponsors of the solution avoid approaching.
