The Yemeni junior national team has inaugurated its training in its preparatory camp in the temporary capital of Aden, in preparation for participating in the West Asian U-16 Championship, which will be held in Dammam and Qatif, Saudi Arabia, from December 5 to 12.
This comes after the national team went to a camp in Seiyun, before the technical staff gave the players a rest that lasted for about 40 days, after postponing the tournament, which was scheduled to start last month, to its new date next month.
The list of the Little Red in the Aden camp includes (23) players, they are (Essam Radman, Hamza Al-Sarabi, Abdul Rahman Al-Mashbaq, Haitham Al-Salami, Jamal Al-Afara, Anwar Al-Tariqi, Wadah Al-Radfani, Muhammad Al-Barwani, Osama Al-Asadi, Rifaat Samir Hassan, Adel Abbas Qassem, Ayman Al-Waziry , Hisham Al-Hussaini, Ali Al-Hanbasi, Ahmed Mustafa Al-Hajj, Abdullah Al-Daqin, Ahmed Muhammad Aklan, Marwan Mayad, Ali Muhammad Al-Jarhoumi, Saeed Al-Shabaan, Abdul Rahman Al-Khidr Al-Korei, Yassin Fathi Ahmed, Muhammad Khaled Ali).
The technical staff of the team, led by coach Qais Muhammad Saleh and his assistant Faisal Asaad, seeks during the camp to prepare the players in the required manner and raise their physical and technical rates, before traveling to the city of Dammam, where Al-Ahmar will go to a short camp before the start of the tournament.
The team plays in the West Asian Championship in Group C along with the teams (Jordan, Bahrain), and opens its matches in the tournament on December 7 against the Jordanian team, then faces its Bahraini counterpart in its second and last matches of the group stage on the 9th of the same month.
The group stage is held in a league system of one stage, so that the champions of each group and the best second-placed team qualify to the semi-finals, and then the two winners move to the final.
