Political sources revealed official moves by the Sultanate of Oman to release the former Minister of Defense, Major General Mahmoud Al-Subaihi, and Brigadier General Faisal Rajab, commander of the Abyan military axis.
Today, Thursday, Al-Arabiya / Al-Hadath channel quoted political sources in Sanaa as saying: “The Omani efforts come within international pressure on the militias to release other kidnapped officials, along with the Minister of Defense, and Brigadier General Rajab, both Brigadier General Nasser Mansour Hadi, brother of The Yemeni president and the leader of the Islah party, Muhammad Qahtan, are included in Security Council Resolution No. 2216, which calls for their immediate release since its issuance in 2015.
Yesterday, Wednesday, the Houthi militia allowed Rajab and Al-Subaihi to contact their families from inside the secret prison, for the first time in years.
The Houthi militia had kidnapped Al-Subaihi and Rajab from Aden on March 25, 2015.
