The Houthi coup militia announced, on Sunday evening, a major attack and advance of the forces of the National Army and the Popular Resistance on militia positions in Taiz Governorate (southwest of Yemen).
The government forces’ attack on Houthi militia positions in Taiz coincides with violent battles waged by the army and the resistance against the militias in Ma’rib Governorate.
The Houthi militia said that the National Army forces, backed by the popular resistance, launched a large-scale attack from several tracks on their positions on the Dhabab and Tabisha fronts, in Taiz Governorate.
The Houthi militia claimed that it was able to break a wide advance of the government forces from several tracks in the Al-Dhabab and Tabisha front, killing and wounding dozens of army and resistance fighters, and burning a number of vehicles while repelling the attack.
Earlier, the Media Center of the Armed Forces said that the army forces are engaged in continuous battles to defeat the Iranian Houthi militias on the western front of the city of Taiz, and the militias have suffered heavy losses.
He stressed that the army forces managed to defeat the Iranian Houthi militia from several areas west of Taiz, and the battles are still continuing amid steady progress of the army’s heroes.
