Al-Uruba team defeated Al-Ittihad Ibb 2-1, this evening, Saturday, at Sayun International Stadium, at the end of the first leg of the first group stage of the Yemeni Football League.
With this win, Al-Uruba’s balance increased to 6 points, which advanced to fourth place, while Al-Ittihad fell to fifth place with 5 points from 5 matches for each team.
The three goals of the match were scored in the second half by the captain of Al-Uruba, Saleh Al-Sayadi, and the start was from a free kick that he carried out and netted the goalkeeper of Ibb Union at the 61st minute, and in the 88th minute Al-Uruba strengthened his lead with the second goal through Zayed Al-Assar.
Although Al-Ittihad played the majority of the second half with 9 players after two players were expelled from its ranks, it remained coherent, and had several chances to score, one of which resulted in a goal before the final whistle by Alaa Al-Wasabi from a penalty kick.
The Shabab Al-Jeel team forced the Sanaa unit in the same group to a goalless draw, last Thursday, at Seiyun Stadium.
