During his meeting at his residence in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway, Thomas Led Bull, Al-Zubaidi considered that “the radical solution to Yemen’s problems lies in the return of the south to its previous status as an independent, sovereign state on the pre-1990 borders.” In an effort to return to before May 22, 1990.

And he renewed his support for the government of parity between the south and the north, and the efforts of the envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Yemen.

He stressed the importance of designing a comprehensive peace process that would end the conflict in the region, in which the Southern Transitional Council would be a pivotal partner, and in which the issue of the people of the south would be one of its most important priorities; as he put it.

And Saudi Arabia had invited Al-Zubaidi earlier to participate in new consultations to implement the Riyadh Agreement, which affirms its support for the unity and stability of Yemen, and the establishment of comprehensive peace in its regions.
