US State Department spokesman Ned Price said in a tweet on Twitter: “We express our solidarity with the 10 people who were injured, without any reason other than that they seek to travel or earn a livelihood.”
On Friday, the Joint Forces Command of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen announced the fall of a booby-trapped march on King Abdullah Airport in Jizan, launched by the Houthis. The coalition later revealed the destruction of a second booby-trapped march, which tried to target civilians at the airport.
The official spokesman for the coalition forces, Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki, said that “the attempt of the hostile attack resulted in 10 casualties among civilians, passengers and airport workers, as follows: 6 cases of passengers and airport workers of Saudi nationality, and 3 cases of airport workers of Bangladeshi nationality, And one case of an airport employee of Sudanese nationality.
