The US State Department revealed military movements in Bab al-Mandab and the Gulf of Aden, this month.

The ministry published, on its official Twitter account, pictures of these movements on November 21, in order to ensure maritime stability in the region.

The ministry commented on the pictures published by Bab al-Mandeb, saying: “Some pictures of a CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter belonging to the US Marines, the 11th Exploration Unit, while landing on the deck of the amphibious transport ship.” USS Portland (LPD 27), November 21.

It also published other photos, which it said were from the Gulf of Aden, for “live ammunition exercises for the US Navy from aboard the USS Pearl Harbor.”

The US State Department explained that “this ship is deployed, in addition to the “11th expeditionary unit”, in the area of ​​responsibility of the Fifth Fleet, in order to support naval operations in order to ensure maritime security and stability in the region.”

The Fifth Fleet page also published photos, saying: “The sailors assigned to the Naval Combat Helicopter Squadron conducted 26 flight operations in the Persian Gulf on November 23.”

This comes after news of a naval maneuver in the Red Sea, without specifying its date, and no announcement was made by the Yemeni government regarding it.
