A short while ago, the Southern Transitional Council issued a military statement regarding the attack launched by the Houthi coup militia on the governorates of Al-Dhalea and Abyan (southern Yemen).
The military spokesman of the Transitional Council, Muhammad al-Naqib, said that the fronts of Al-Dhalea and Thahra in Abyan witnessed, during the past hours, intermittent clashes between government forces and the terrorist Houthi militia.
The captain added in a statement seen by “The Yemeni Scene”, that the clashes that took place in the Al-Dhalea front, were concentrated in the Bab Ghalog sector and spread to other sectors.
He stressed that the government forces were able to thwart an infiltration attempt by the enemy Houthi militia elements on the Thara front in Abyan governorate.
He explained that the Thara front witnessed confrontations with medium and light weapons between government forces and the Houthi militia.
The military spokesman for the Transitional Council confirmed that the enemy Houthi militia is sending military reinforcements in order to repeat its failed attacks and infiltration attempts towards the southern governorates.
