An international decision to end the extension of the work of the international team of experts in Yemen

Today, Thursday, the United Nations Human Rights Council voted to end the extension of the Special Panel of Eminent Experts on Monitoring Human Rights Violations in Yemen.

The Council said, via its Twitter account, that it had voted to reject the renewal of the mandate of the Group of Eminent International Experts on Yemen for the next two years.

The Council added that it renewed its support for the mandate of the National Committee to investigate all conflicting parties in Yemen.

The Council noted that there is no peace in sight, and the parties to the conflict continue to act with little regard for their international obligations, noting that attacks on civilians may amount to war crimes.
