Today, Sunday, the Chief of the General Staff, Commander of Joint Operations, Lieutenant-General Saghir bin Aziz, called on those present in the “Manama Dialogue to support the position of the legitimate government in resolving the national battle on the ground, ending the Houthi coup and thwarting Iranian subversive plans in Yemen and the region.”
In his intervention in the Manama Dialogue 2021, he said, “Iran and its tools are the source of evil, terrorism, chaos and absurdity in the region.”
He added: “The priestly Houthi militia does not want peace and has met all agreements and initiatives aimed at bringing peace with rejection, intransigence, and continuous escalation. Those who believe that it is possible to coexist with these terrorist militias are wrong.”
He referred to the government’s experiences in agreements with the Houthi militia, whose results were to invade the state and take control of its constitutional institutions.
The attendees discussed Iranian support for various militias in the region, especially the Houthi group, and the dimension of this support on stability and peace in the Middle East and the world.
