Today, Monday, the United Kingdom revealed its position on the military escalation of the Houthi coup militia in the Marib Governorate (eastern Yemen).

The importance of an urgent cessation of violence and targeting of civilians and displaced persons, especially in Marib Governorate.
The British ambassador expressed his country’s condemnation of the terrorist attack in front of the external gate of Aden Airport and the resulting civilian casualties, offering condolences to the families of the victims, and full support for the Yemeni government and people to combat terrorism.
He referred to the ongoing efforts led by the United Nations to find an urgent solution to the Safer oil tank to avoid disaster and what has been achieved so far.
The British ambassador reiterated Britain’s position in support of the Yemeni government and people in these circumstances and its appreciation for the efforts made by the Prime Minister in the temporary capital, Aden, to deal with the existing challenges.
In the meeting, Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik discussed, with the British ambassador, the latest developments on the national arena, the positions that support the government to carry out its duties to achieve economic, living and service stability for citizens, and the urgently required international support in this aspect.
