Today, Wednesday, the Saudi authorities announced the arrest of deer and walruses, smuggled from Yemen, in the Jazan region in the south of the Kingdom.
Jazan police said that the security control center in Al-Daer governorate arrested a Yemeni national in his thirties, and was arrested in his possession, dependents and deer smuggled from outside the Kingdom.
According to the Saudi police, the initial legal procedures against him have been completed, and the seizures have been handed over to the competent authority.
It is worth noting that there are many incidents of smuggling wild animals from Yemen. The Yemeni authorities announced in earlier times that some of them had failed, while the smugglers succeeded in many cases.
