Egyptian Iftaa: Hearing songs helps a person to settle down, overcome problems and bring happiness

The General Secretariat of the Egyptian Dar Al-Iftaa revealed the ruling on listening to songs, in response to a question from one of the followers.

There are two parts of the songs

Dr. Muhammad Abd al-Sami, Secretary of the Fatwa at Dar al-Ifta, said, during a live broadcast that the house showed on its official page on Facebook, that the songs are divided into two parts. It is not an analyst, pointing out that because of its negative effects, it was unacceptable and reprehensible.

He explained that there is another type of songs, which are acceptable and endearing to the soul and elevate them as well as help them to overcome problems, stability and happiness, and from here comes the saying of the Messenger of God, peace be upon him: An hour and an hour.

Words that are not said to be forbidden

He referred, according to the “Cairo 24” website, to a poem by the poet Ahmed Shawqi, which was sung by Umm Kulthum: Abu al-Zahra’ has exceeded my destiny by your praise, but I have an affiliation.

He added that these words are beautiful and have refined meanings that are not said to be forbidden and may not be heard, and perhaps these words are what express the existence of man, adding that the words of Mrs. Umm Kulthum: The days in my heart were tears running and you dissolved my tears, and they are my life, they are an expression of The state of grief that occurs to a person when he loses his beloved, and all these meanings of humanity are not said to be forbidden or forbidden.

At the conclusion of his speech, Abdul-Sami asserted that the one who is forbidden is the one who wastes the dignity of the person or causes him to commit indecency or immorality, as well as making him think about forbidden things or take advantage of them, all of this is not permissible.
