Failed sale of a Yemeni child “illegal” for the second time in Sana’a


The head of the Anti-Human Trafficking Organization in Yemen, Nabil Fadel, said that a gang specialized in human trafficking tried to sell an illegitimate child for the second time in the capital, Sanaa, which is under the control of the Houthi rebels, but the criminal investigation arrested all the accused.

He explained, in a press statement, that the first sale of the child was for one million riyals, while the value of the second deal that was foiled was three million riyals.

He pointed out that four women and one man were arrested, while the child was placed in the Children’s Home.

The phenomenon of human trafficking has expanded in Yemen during the years of the war, which is approaching its eighth year.
