Five types of spices protect against cancer and colds


A study stated that the spices used in preparing meals provide a special flavor to them, which makes us eat them with appetite.
However, the benefits of spices are not limited to giving these meals a special taste, but rather have health benefits, which was pointed out by nutritionist Tatiana Dick, in an interview with “Sputnik”.
The expert pointed out the importance of including cinnamon, turmeric, thyme, sage and oregano in our diet for their important nutritional benefits, including protection against cancer.
This is due to the fact that this spice is rich in antioxidants, which have anti-cancer effects and fight free radicals.
And the expert continued, “And these are not all of its beneficial properties. Cinnamon lowers blood sugar and reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease. Turmeric improves brain function and promotes weight loss.”
Thyme is also useful for treating colds, and sage can help with digestive problems, and oregano is beneficial for the nervous system.
