Germany survives Romania’s ambush in Qatar World Cup qualifiers


The German team overturned its goal in front of its Romanian guest to win 2-1 in the match that brought them together on Friday in the seventh round of the European qualifiers for the World Cup in Qatar.

The Romanian team stunned the hosts with an early goal from the ninth minute through Jans Hagi, and they maintained their lead throughout the first half.

In the second half, the “Manschaft” rose up and turned the result upside down by scoring two consecutive goals, signed by Serge Gnabry and Thomas Muller, in the 52nd and 81st minutes, respectively.

With this victory, Germany raised its score at the top of the tenth group to 18 points, while Romania’s balance stopped at 10 points in fourth place.
