Hours after Saudi Arabia’s invitation to Al-Zubaidi, the Transitional Council announces the implementation of a qualitative military operation


The Southern Transitional Council announced, this evening, Saturday, the implementation of a qualitative military operation in Al-Dhalea Governorate (southern Yemen).

Muhammad al-Naqib, a military spokesman for the Transitional Council, said that the forces stationed in the Al-Thokhub sector, northwest of Al-Dhalea, carried out a qualitative operation against the Houthi coup militia.

The captain confirmed that the operation resulted in the killing and wounding of a number of Houthi militia members.

And earlier today, the Transitional Council announced that its president, Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, will leave today, Saturday, for the Saudi capital, Riyadh, at an official invitation from the Kingdom.

The Presidency of the Transitional Council welcomed the Saudi invitation, praising the Kingdom’s keenness to unify efforts, and affirmed its positive handling of it.

And it renewed its call to the coalition countries, the International Quartet, and the five permanent members, to support the government of parity to carry out its duties towards the deteriorating economic situation and to enable it to provide services and pay salaries as soon as possible.
