On Sunday, the Qatari authorities will begin correcting the conditions of Egyptian expatriates, after the Egyptian Ministry of Manpower received a report from the Labor Representation Office of its embassy in Doha.
The report stated that the Qatari Ministry of Interior announced the correction of the conditions of expatriates violating the provisions of the law regulating the entry, exit and residence of expatriates by setting a time period to correct the illegal conditions of violators of the provisions of the aforementioned law, from tomorrow, Sunday, October 10, until December 31, 2021.
Labor Attaché Khaled Fathi Al-Dayihi, head of the labor representation office in the State of Qatar, said that every violating expatriate or violator must, during the aforementioned period, submit a request for reconciliation regarding violating the law to the Search and Follow-up Department or to one of the following service centers: Musteem, “formerly Industrial City”, Mesaimeer, Al-Wakra, and Al-Rayyan, in order to consider an exemption from the amount of the reconciliation or reduction.
The labor attaché indicated that the expatriate should review the aforementioned administration or center during the aforementioned period from one in the afternoon until seven in the evening, and he will benefit from the correction of illegal conditions and in order to avoid the application of legal procedures against the violator in the event that their conditions are not corrected.
The Egyptian-Qatari relations witnessed a positive rapprochement during the past months in conjunction with a comprehensive Gulf reconciliation.
