Paris Saint-Germain won a historic victory over its guest Manchester City (2-0) in the match that brought them together on Tuesday, in the second round of the group stage of the European Champions League.
Senegalese midfielder Idrissa Gaye scored the first goal for the Parisian team early by the eighth minute from the start whistle.
Then the Argentine star Lionel Messi scored his first goal in the Paris Saint-Germain shirt and the second for the hosts at the 74th minute of the meeting, which was held at the “Parc des Princes” stadium in the capital, Paris.
Paris Saint-Germain raised its score after this historic victory, to 4 points, and topped the standings of the first group, ahead of its runner-up Club Brugge, who in turn defeated the German team Leipzig (2-1) at home.
While Manchester City fell to third place with three points.
