More than a thousand families displaced as a result of the fighting in Hodeidah


The International Organization for Migration said that more than a thousand families were displaced within days; As a result of the developments of the war in Hodeidah Governorate.

In a report, the organization stated that it had monitored the displacement of more than 1,000 families in the governorate between November 11 and 14; As a result of renewed hostilities on the West Coast.

She indicated that 895 families were displaced to the Al-Khokha district in the south of the governorate, while 129 families were displaced to the Mocha district, west of Taiz governorate.

She stressed that “the situation in the south of Al-Hodeidah governorate is still worrying, as there are 1,700 families who are still living near the front lines.”

It pointed out that it is working with partners in the humanitarian field to respond to the needs of these displaced people, by providing them with basic requirements.

This comes after the redeployment of the joint forces in the coastal governorate to areas outside the Stockholm Agreement, and the Houthi rebels’ control over them.
