The novelist Abdel Razzaq Salem Garnah
The origins of the Al-Qarnah family go back to the Eastern Diss, Hadhramaut
This British-born Tanzanian novelist won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2021
He had immigrated to Britain at the age of twenty, more than half a century ago, from the island of Zanzibar, his birthplace in Tanzania.
When you see him for the first time, you will think that he is the younger brother of Kofi Annan, the former Secretary-General of the United Nations!
Personally, I haven’t read anything about him yet!
I blamed myself for that and justified myself by saying that today we are half alive and half dead here in Sanaa in particular! I said that before I found out that not all of his ten novels were translated into Arabic at all!
Not even a single novel has been translated!
In any case, the translation will be done within days .. and we will read!
So, let’s celebrate tonight with the Qarnah family in Al-Dis, Hadramawt and Yemen!
We will celebrate, even if the night that overwhelms our souls makes fun of us!
We will celebrate Hadramawt, the great oak of Yemen, whose roots have branched out and its branches have spread to the whole world!
As for the story, we will see it in a few days!
