The internationally recognized Yemeni government revealed, on Sunday evening, the reasons for the departure of Prime Minister Maeen Abdul-Malik, the temporary Yemeni capital, Aden (southern Yemen), to the Republic of Egypt.
The departure of the Prime Minister of Aden, sparked a lot of speculation, especially since it came after the attack that targeted the governor of Aden, Ahmed Lamlas, and government leaders, which resulted in deaths and injuries.
Regarding the reasons, the Yemeni news agency “Saba” said that the Prime Minister arrived at the head of a high-level government delegation to the capital, Cairo, at the start of an official working visit, at the invitation of his Egyptian counterpart, Dr. Mustafa Madbouly.
The agency stated that the prime ministers of the two countries held a short session of talks in the reception hall at Cairo International Airport, in which they exchanged greetings and views on a number of issues of common interest, and the aspirations for this visit and what it could yield in opening new horizons for fraternal cooperation between the two countries. And the two brotherly peoples in various fields.
According to the agency, it is scheduled to hold a session of official talks between the two countries headed by the two prime ministers, related to bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields, and an appreciation of the Egyptian role in support of Yemen and its constitutional legitimacy at the bilateral level and through its participation in the coalition to support legitimacy led by the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and in regional forums. And the international and international mechanisms for coordinating cooperation during the coming period, and the support Egypt can provide to Yemen.
