On a new mission, the Chief of Staff arrives in a Gulf country accompanied by military leaders


The Chief of the General Staff, Commander of Joint Operations, Lieutenant-General Saghir bin Aziz, and military leaders arrived Thursday evening in the Bahraini capital, Manama, to participate in the security summit, “Manama Dialogue 2021” in its seventeenth edition.

Upon his arrival, the Chief of Staff was received by the Bahraini Air Force Commander, Major General Hamad Abdullah Hamad, the Air Force Base in Manama, our country’s ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain Dr. Ali Al-Ahmadi, the military attaché at our country’s embassy in Bahrain, and Brigadier General Ahmed Laheb.

The summit will be held from November 19 to 21, 2021 AD, and will be devoted to discussing several axes, most notably militias, missiles, and the proliferation of nuclear weapons.

On the sidelines of the summit, the Chief of Staff will meet with the military leaders of the Bahrain Defense Force, to discuss issues related to the armed forces, according to the Army newspaper, “September Net”.

According to the Army newspaper, the Chief of the General Staff was accompanied on the visit by the Director-General of the Ministry of Defense, Brigadier General Ali Mohsen Al-Harthy, the military attache in Riyadh, Brigadier General Yahya Al-Wael, the Director of the International Affairs Department, Brigadier General Abdullah Al-Maqtari, and the moral guidance pillar in joint operations, Brigadier General Khaled Karni.
