Starting today .. “WhatsApp” cuts service for 53 types of smartphones

The application of Messenger services, “WhatsApp”, owned by the American company “Facebook”, announced that it will cut off the service on 53 types of smartphones, starting today, Monday.

Users of old Apple and Android phones will not be able to use the new global messaging app from WhatsApp, which will prevent millions of people from seeing their messages.

The application said in a statement, carried by American and British media, that “all WhatsApp services, including messages, photos and videos, will be cut off from 53 old smartphones, as of Monday.”

The Tech website, The Talk, said that “starting from Monday, the app will withdraw support from 53 different mobile phones, and users will lose the ability to send messages, call, and share photos and video on the encrypted platform on the free messaging app, which is used more out of two billion people in the world.”

The site added that “WhatsApp is currently pushing Android phones with the operating system “OS 4.1” and “iPhone” devices running “iOS 10” and recent products, and that the affected users will have no other choice but to switch their mobile devices to continue using the current application.

The site indicated that some devices will be able to keep up with the application through the update, but the majority will still fail to reach the required high levels.

The site listed the names of all the phones that will be affected by the cut, which are:
