In rapid and unexpected developments, eight strategic areas fell from the grip of the Houthi militia, on the West Coast front, and the joint (governmental) forces were able to liberate and control them after the Houthi coup militia fighters fled.
The sources confirmed that major collapses hit the ranks of the Houthi militia, during the past hours, in the Maqbna district, west of Taiz governorate, while the joint forces were able to achieve field progress in strategic areas and villages.
Military and field sources said that, during the past hours, the joint forces took control of eight villages west of Taiz, which were controlled by the Houthi militia.
According to the sources, the joint forces took control of the villages of “Al-Hannayah”, “Al-Hikma”, “Al-Akda”, “Al-Ras”, “Al-Khalifa”, “Al-Manara”, “Al-Barah” and the strategic “Dar Al-Kafeer Castle”.
The joint forces had managed to control areas in the isolation of Al-Barsha in the Al-Maqbanah district, and to purify important mountain ranges and ruling sites, after they fought violent battles with the Houthi militia, in which heavy and medium weapons were used.
