Taliban exclude ‘undesirable people’ from Afghan interim leadership

The spokesman for the Taliban interim government, Zabihullah Mujahid, confirmed that the government would exclude “undesirable persons” who are in the service.

He wrote on Twitter: “Our leadership decided during the cabinet meeting in the presidential palace today, Monday, to dismiss a number of undesirable people from their positions in the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan,” but he did not specify the identity of the persons or their number.

“The government has instructed all Afghan law enforcement agencies to strengthen security measures in all agencies,” he added.

He continued, “The departments that deal with social and economic issues have been directed to plan to organize the supply of foreign humanitarian aid to everyone who needs it, as well as to provide support to the commercial sector.”

Mujahid indicated, “It was decided to resume the work of the independent (helicopter) transport company, as well as to provide the necessary support to all other institutions that provide transport services in the country.”
