The Abdiya tribes surprised the Houthis, launched a massive attack, and regained a strategic mountain from the militias’ grip

The tribes of the Abdiya District, south of Ma’rib Governorate (eastern Yemen), surprised the Houthi coup militia with a massive attack launched on the militias that are stationed in one of the strategic mountains on the outskirts of the district.

Military and field sources confirmed that the Abdiya tribes and government forces launched a massive attack on the Houthi militia in the “Kherfan” mountain, and were able to defeat the militia fighters and regain control of the strategic mountain.

The sources indicated that the attack coincided with intense raids carried out by the fighters of the Arab coalition to support legitimacy in Yemen against the Houthi coup militia.

This comes in conjunction with the entry of the siege imposed by the Houthi militia on the Al-Abdiya district into its fourth week, and the militia’s continued attacks with artillery and missile shelling on populated villages.
