The Arab coalition deals a resounding blow to the legitimate government

The Arab Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen, led by Saudi Arabia, dealt a resounding slap to the internationally recognized Yemeni government, regarding the sudden developments in Al Hudaydah Governorate (western Yemen).

Political and media sources said that the Arab coalition’s adoption of the joint forces’ viewpoint on the West Coast front represents a resounding slap to the legitimate government, which said it did not know anything about the repositioning and deployment process in Hodeidah Governorate.

The sources indicated that the coalition adopted the viewpoint of the joint forces, although the statement of the West Coast forces did not address this coordination at the time, stressing that the coalition’s announcement is a slap to the legitimacy that sleeps in honey.
And on Monday, the Arab coalition said that the redeployment of the joint forces on the western coast was a military decision of the coalition leadership, and that the decision to redeploy came in line with the military strategy in Yemen.

The joint forces had said earlier that they were conducting a “repositioning” operation to implement the Sweden agreement signed between the government and the Houthis in 2018.

While the government team in the Redeployment Committee said that what happened on the western coast of Hodeidah governorate took place without his knowledge or coordination with him, which is the same position announced by the UN Mission in Hodeidah and the spokesperson for the Secretary-General of the United Nations, and they said that they are monitoring the situation “closely.”
