The first commander of the battles in Marib was killed along with a number of his companions by the fire of the National Army and the Popular Resistance forces on the southern fronts of the governorate.
Field sources said that the Houthi leader, Abd al-Latif Hammoud al-Mahdi al-Nua, nicknamed “Abu Nasr al-Shaaf”, was killed along with 7 of his companions, south of Marib, during the battles of the past hours.
The sources pointed out that the Houthi leader, “Al-Noua”, is from Saada Governorate and is impersonating the commander of the fourth military region and the commander of the 35th Armored Brigade, and he is the official and the first commander of the ongoing battles on the outskirts of the southern Marib Governorate.
The sources added that the killing of al-Noua represents a new blow to the militias, as he is considered the leader entrusted with leading the battles in the southern sector of the Marib fronts.
This comes after violent battles witnessed by the southern and western fronts in Marib during last night and the early hours of Thursday morning.
