The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a press statement commenting on the terrorist attack that targeted the convoy of the governor of Aden and the Minister of Agriculture.
In the statement posted on the ministry’s Facebook page: The Arab Republic of Egypt expressed its deep condemnation of the terrorist attack that targeted the convoy of the governor of Aden and the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries this morning, which resulted in the death and injury of a number of Yemeni brothers.
Egypt offered its sincere condolences to the brotherly Yemen, government and people, and to the families of the innocent victims, expressing its wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured, and its solidarity and standing by brotherly Yemen in the face of the brutal hand of terrorism.
Egypt called on all Yemeni parties to renounce violence and uphold the supreme interest of the brotherly Yemeni people, free of any narrow calculations or private agendas, in order to push forward a comprehensive political settlement in a way that fulfills the aspirations of the Yemeni brothers towards a secure and prosperous homeland.
A suicide bombing targeted Aden Governor Ahmed Lamlas and Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries Major General Al-Socotri Sayah today, killing a number of people and wounding others in Al-Tawahi area in Aden.
