The first action by the Lebanese Foreign Minister after the Kingdom’s recent decisions towards his country


The Lebanese Foreign Minister, Abdullah Bou Habib, announced that he will head a special cell to “heal the rift” after the decisions taken by the Kingdom to stop Lebanese imports into it and the Lebanese ambassador to leave its lands in the next 48 hours.

On Friday evening, Bou Habib issued a statement in which he said: “At the request of the Prime Minister, who is currently on a working visit outside the country, and in view of the recent accelerating developments, I will take over from Beirut, in coordination and consultation with His Excellency the President of the Republic and the Prime Minister, the management of a cell whose main task is to heal The rift is to overcome the new unfortunate dispute, because we believe that what is happening is a problem and not a crisis with the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states, and it can be overcome and resolved through sincere brotherly dialogue and in the interest of our friendly countries.

He continued: “Trust that Lebanon is very keen to keep the lines of communication and convergence open with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its Gulf brothers, and is determined to restore the best and best relations based on everything that unites us and brings us closer.”
