The Minister of Information, Muammar Al-Eryani, commented on the Houthi coup’s targeting of the house of Major General Al-Arada, Governor of Marib Governorate, describing it as a coward.
Al-Eryani said, during a series of tweets on his Twitter account, followed by “The Yemeni Scene”, that the terrorist targeting of Al-Arada’s house was “a cowardly act of revenge that confirms the state of bankruptcy that the militia is going through, after all its attempts to undermine the steadfastness of the Ma’rib Governorate and its people failed.”
He also called on the international community and the UN and US envoys to condemn the attack and all attacks on residential neighborhoods, homes and displacement camps in the Ma’rib governorate, as a war crime and a flagrant violation of international laws and covenants.
In addition, he called for bringing those responsible for these attacks, among the leaders and members of the Houthi militia, to the International Criminal Court, as “war criminals.”
Yesterday, the governor of Marib, Major General Sultan Al-Arada, appeared from the rubble of his house, which was targeted by the terrorist Houthi militia, with two ballistic missiles, after lighting the torch of the 59th anniversary of the September 26 revolution.
In a statement to local media, Al-Arada confirmed that such events “will not deter us from continuing the march of history in September.”
He added that “what happened, I am not very surprised,” appealing to the militia to stop targeting families, women and populated places, adding, “Let the Houthis target me, and let the army target ordinary.”
