The Houthi militia’s first military response to the coalition’s announcement of the start of a qualitative operation


Shortly after the announcement of the coalition to support legitimacy, the start of a qualitative operation, against the Houthi coup militia, the militias responded with a failed attempt to target the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with a drone.

Late on Friday evening, the Houthi coup militia launched a booby-trapped plane from Sanaa International Airport towards Saudi Arabia.

The Arab coalition confirmed that it was able to destroy a booby-trapped drone in Yemeni airspace that took off from Sanaa airport, hours after it announced the destruction of 3 booby-trapped drones launched by the Houthi militia towards the southern region of the Kingdom.

Earlier, the coalition announced the failure of the Houthi militia to launch two ballistic missiles from Sanaa, confirming that the two missiles fell inside Yemen after they were launched.

The coalition also announced the interception and destruction of a ballistic missile launched by the Houthi militia at dawn on Friday, targeting civilians in the city of Jizan.

On Friday evening, the coalition announced the start of a qualitative operation to deal with the sources of the threat posed by the Houthi coup militia, and said that the operation came in response to the threat.
