The joint forces control a new strategic area in the borders of Dhamar and Ibb

Today, Sunday, the joint Yemeni forces managed to control a new strategic area on the administrative borders of the governorates of Dhamar and Ibb.

Field sources told “Yemeni Al-Mashhad” that the joint forces took control of the “Maghreb” mountains in the “Jabal Ras” district, which is administratively affiliated to the Hodeidah Governorate.

The sources indicated that the joint forces fought a heroic epic that culminated in the liberation of Jabal al-Maghrib in the Jabal Ras district and Jabal al-Abed axis overlooking the district.

The sources noted that the “Maghreb Mountains” is the first area outside the control of the Houthi rebels in the directorate linked to administrative borders with parts of the Dhamar and Ibb governorates, in which the Houthi militia has been stationed since late 2014.

The joint forces had taken control of the Al-Ruwaynah, Al-Suhaira and Al-Tour mountains, and many mountains in the Maqbna district of Taiz governorate, and the mountains of Ghazieh, Habitan, Qahbar, Omar and Al-Dabbas Bab Al-Faj in the Hays district, amid great collapses and heavy losses in the ranks of the Houthi militia.

The field developments come the day after the joint forces announced control of the strategic Al-Aden triangle, north of the Hays district, southeast of Al-Hodeidah, which links the district to Ibb governorate and Al-Jarrahi district, south of Al-Hodeidah.
