On Friday, field sources said that the joint forces on the western coast liberated new areas southeast of Al-Hodeidah Governorate and approached Ibb Governorate.
The sources told Al-Mashhad Al-Yemeni that the joint resistance forces liberated the customs port of Saqm, in addition to the liberation of the villages of Al-Mahajar and Al-Jabalin and other areas of Danub and east of Hays district.
The sources indicated that the joint resistance also took control of the Udayn junction (the Udayn triangle), which is 15 km east of the city of Hais and links the governorates of Hodeidah and Ibb.
The sources noted that the joint resistance approached the liberation of the entire Hays district, and the defeat of the Houthi rebels.
The sources pointed out that the joint resistance took control of the outskirts of the Al-Jarrahi district, in the south of the governorate.
Saqm Junction, located south of Hays District, is an area surrounded by Tabab, where the Hodeidah-Taiz line meets the sand line branching from the Mokha-Khoukha line. Over the past years, the Houthi rebels have established a customs point for trucks coming from the governorates under the control of the recognized Yemeni government.
The joint forces launched the Battle of the Golden Arch to liberate areas south of Hodeidah and the countryside of Taiz governorate, a week after announcing the redeployment and repositioning in areas outside the Stockholm Agreement.
